Founded by Susan Hover Oehme in 2010, Oehme Graphics is first and foremost a fine print publisher working with nationally and internationally recognized artists. Contract printing, private artist collaboration, artist residencies, internships, and educational workshops round out the print programming at the studio.
Nestled in a workshop in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, the large studio has full etching capabilities, including photo-etching processes, steel-facing, and an artist studio. Upstairs is the artist apartment and print gallery. The emphasis is dedicated to producing intaglio prints and monotypes of the highest caliber in collaboration with a small number of artists each year. The OG staff travel throughout the year to exhibit in New York, Santa Fe, Miami, Denver, San Francisco, Boston, Washington, DC, and Chicago.
Ms. Oehme, the director and master printer, was previously the director of Riverhouse Editions for fourteen years and a master printer at Tyler Graphics in Mount Kisco and has worked as a master intaglio printer for the past twenty-five years at numerous fine print studios, including her first press, Susan Hover Editions, in New York. Among the more than sixty artists she has collaborated with are Sol LeWitt, Fred Tomasell, Joan Mitchell, Helen Frankenthaler, Frank Stella, and Louise Fishman. She has taught printmaking workshops at Northwestern University, Denver University, the Women’s Studio Workshop, Brandeis University, and Kozo Art Materials, and has juried and curated numerous print exhibitions throughout her career.
